We build dedicated arrays of coils to enable sensitive imaging and large field-of-views. The arrays are designed for clinical use focusing on the application of parallel imaging to speed up data acquisition.
The brain is of particular interest for hyperpolarized MRI because metabolism in the brain is correlated with neurological diseases. We exploit the uniqueness of the individual coil elements’ sensitivity profiles in the array.
On the pictures above, you can see examples of self-developed arrays including 32 channel brain coil and 28-channel head array. Examples of more conformal designs can be found in the Flexible coils.
